Memorial Biography

On August 21, 2013 Randy Redding left this life for what I hope is a peaceful, nurturing, other realm.

I created this website in hopes that everyone who's life he touched will share their memories and honor his life. My Randy was a loving, sweet, kind hearted, sensitive man with a special sense of humor... I will miss him more than I can express.

Born in Santa Monica on April 3, 1951, Randy came to Mill Valley in the early 1970's to visit a friend and never left.  He loved Mill Valley and Marin County.  A Marin County Realtor since 1985, his ability to be patient, compassionate and fair with his clients and colleagues were some of his unique traits.

Some of his proud accomplishments were; achieving his black belt in Taekwondo; successfully running the Dipsea Race 5 times; and surviving a sailboat adventure to Columbia.

Randy loved to run, in 2007 he suffered a ruptured disc in his back and was unable to continue.  This was very hard on him as running was his refuge.

He loved to give back, some of his volunteer work included: Marin General Hospital Emergency room, Marin Food Bank, Wild Animal Rescue and Spirit Rock Meditation Center.  He was a member of BNI for over 10 years, and on the board of directors for the Marin Association of Realtors.

He is survived by his wife and partner of 15 years Gayle, his 2 cats Sami and Bing, his sister Shari, brother Kerry and his mom who will turn 94 in December of this year.

Please share your comments and photos with all who knew him.

RIP Randy,

Love, SB
